Unless you have deep pockets and don't mind replacing your transmission every time you go out you need All-J's massive skid plate. Never settle for less than the best. |

Kilby doesn't list a KJ fuel tank skid on their website, but we got a group buy in 2004 for $150, and it's a great skid. You may be able to get one at their normal price of $225.

This is a great skid, and a steal when we got it for $150. Still a good deal at $225, if you can get one. |

This skid is tuff. I've tested this is many spots in moab and it's held up to the some abuse. Biggest down side is it hangs lower than the kilby. |

If you need the BEST protection, you need to go with the All-J Super Skid. However, if you're not quite ready to pony up for the All-J skid, but you want at least some protection for your tranny pan, the Mopar skid makes a good sacrificial skid.
This skid is made for '05+ KJs, but can be retrofitted to fit '02-04.
IMPORTANT: Don't use the wrong part #. Warning thread.

Not a bad price, but you're way better off just picking one up from your local dealer, usually < $30 including tax. |

This may or may not be significantly better than the Mopar TC skid.

Probably not as stout as All-J's Super Skid, but lighter and less expensive.

We've heard a lot of reports that this skid doesn't stand up to any real off-roading, but it's probably adequate to protect from small rocks flying around. The website mentions a re-design for 2005, but doesn't specify whether they'll be doing anything to
