Frankenlift I
|
By All-J Products |
3/20/05 |
|
|
|
Provides the best all-around offroad performance of any lift. Excellent choice if you have to have THE best lift, but may be excessive in price for most.
This lift is not actually manufactured by All-J...it is a combination of various parts, largely designed by LOST KJ West members.
The Standard Frankenlift Kit uses Pre-Assembled Rancho 17505 Front Struts, OME927 H/D Front and Rear OME948 H/D Coil Springs, Rear Rancho 17004 Shocks, All J Products Proprietary Poly Parts, Left and Right Daystar Upper Strut Plates, All Hardware and stem cushions needed, Rear Bump Stops.

Love it! This is the third lift I've run on my Liberty and it is by far the best (the others being a Skyjacker coil lift and a Teraflex Budget Boost). |

The best there is. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I'm not sure I can really justify the cost over the $300 RRO Combo I swapped out--it worked really well. Also, I'm not sure I like the OME rear shocks any better than the Ranchos. |

Best lift for the KJ out there in my opinion. Can't be beat for off or on road performance, wouldn't do it any other way! |

This lift looks almost identical to Rusty's coil lift, except that it's branded for 4WD Hardware. I'd give it 5 stars, but I only know of one person who has the lift, although he seems to like it just fine.

Moog Lower Ball Joint (K3199)

The OEM lower ball joints on all KJs are notorious for failing, sometimes in under 20K miles. The Moog LBJ is serviceable and designed to overcome the inherent design flaws of the OEM joint.

Rubicon Express Superflex LCA (RE3715)

"Super-Flex 2 adjustable lower control arms for TJ Wranglers and XJ/MJ/ZJ (front or rear) Cherokees. All Super-Flex Control Arms feature our rebuildable spherical bearing assembly. This assembly features a large 2.25" polymer race that encapsulates a 1.75" hard plated steel bearing. A threaded steel insert allows adjustable preload and easy maintenance. The unit is greasable and extremely quiet due to the non-metallic races. This bearing allows extra flex for off-road prowess, yet does not sacrifice on-road handling or long term durability."
(Also fits the KJ. Click here for a picture of it installed on CA Wally's Camo Edition.)

Had this for a year now. Offroad this is an excellent kit. No ball joint contact great rear flex, very nice. Price is also very good as well. Onroad it drive better than stock, but it does suffer from a sound on the rear shocks due to improper bushing. This is a know issues and is resolved with some rancho shocks in the rear, although i've kept mine on and dealt with the sound it can get annoying. Sound is below 35mph.
For price, performance it's hard to beat this kit. |

The Rusty's 2.5 inch kit is great. Really does a great job to get you a bit of extra clearance and keeps a nice ride. Works well on rough dirt roads at high speeds. No problemsafter 20k miles and is easy to intstall. |

JeepinbyAl has created a 4" lift kit that they claim overcomes the 2.5" lift barrier. I'm giving this kit 4 stars for now...but it will get 5 as soon as we see a couple of 4" lifted KJs take on a few 4+ trails at Moab!
- 4" front custom strut, assembly required
- Als A-arms
- Stainless Steel brake lines
|
- 4" rear springs
- 4" hydro shocks
- 4" link mount extension

The Jeepin' By Al Upper A-Arms were designed for your lifted Liberty and will directly replace your stock a-arms. The original equipment a-arm hits the spring, which causes premature ball joint failure on Liberty's with a lift kit. The Jeepin' By Al A-Arms are compatible with all the lift kits on the market today! These A-Arms were designed to fit on 2002 through 2007 Jeep Liberty's. Made of heavy duty tubing, red powder coat finish, with Moog replaceable ball joints and factory rubber bushings. More info on LostKJs.com.
